Smoothies are a runner’s best friend. This Tropical Immunity Boost Smoothie will give you a quick pick-me-up in the morning, before a run, or as a post-workout snack. The chia seeds give you a shot of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and fiber. The mango, pineapple, blueberries, and ginger offer a host of antioxidants, including immunity-boosting vitamins A and C.

Antioxidants offer many benefits, including anti-aging, as they help the body prevent and slow the damage caused by free radicals. Vitamin C also boosts collagen in joints and helps with injury prevention and muscle recovery.

This Tropical Immunity Boost Smoothie is very easy to make — it only takes about 5 minutes if you use pre-cut, frozen mangoes and pineapple. You can use fresh or frozen fruit. You can also add in or substitute ingredients if you want different fruits or toppings (flax seeds instead of chia, etc).
