Runstreet Beach Pop-Up 5K Art Run Recap

Photos by Marques Jackson.

It's been a hot, hot summer with Runstreet Art Runs and our NYC running tours! And we got a chance to pause and celebrate in an art and sweat bonanza in the Lower East Side for Runstreet Beach.

In the sizzling July heat, NYC runners gathered for our first-ever Runstreet Beach Pop-Up Art Run. The Lower East Side, one of our fave cultural places to run and see art, offered a perfect setting to bring the beach to the concrete of Manhattan, at Lazy Susan NYC Gallery. We launched the day with an Art Run to see the incredible NYC murals lining the streets of downtown Manhattan.

After the run, Runstreet Photographer and Creative Director Marques Jackson brought the pop-up walls to life, with his incredible NYC photography, as well as photo booth fun and more. Marques' photography literally sold off the walls, as the photos were a hit with everyone - from the street style looks to the NYC iconic scenes to incredible Art Run shots, there was a piece literally for everyone. Our featured NYC street artist Dirt Cobain also sold the painting he created live at the event. Everyone enjoyed the good vibes, healthy eats from Clif Bar and Noosa Yoghurt.

We launched our limited edition Runstreet clothing, including Runstreet tank tops, running tights and sports bras, as well as had vintage Art Run tees on sale. The new tanks went fast, but you may be able to still nab one in our Shop

Thank you to all who came to our Runstreet Beach NYC Art Run & Pop-Up, and we look forward to seeing you again soon (Check out our upcoming Events.) And thank you to our event sponsors Clif Bar and Noosa Yoghurt.
